The Golden Scales of Justice

Upon the Autumnal Equinox, day and night meet as equals. This balance is not static, but a living portal, one that asks us to pause, integrate, and reorient to inner truth.

Within ancient Egyptian myth, the heart of the soul was weighed against Ma'at’s feather of truth. So too are we invited to step inward, to release the weight of what no longer serves, and to walk forward lighthearted, clear, and true.

Balance is more than equal measure, it is the graceful weaving of opposites, the integration of shadow and light, action and rest, self and other.

In this season, balance asks us not only to restore harmony within, but also to steward equilibrium in our relationships and the wider world. With the support of our herbal allies, we are reminded that equilibrium is both delicate and enduring, a rhythm that carries us into the inward turn.
