Ecstatic Dance :: BAE :: Judson Church

  • Judson Memorial Church 55 Washington Square South New York, NY, 10012 United States (map)

Join us on October 8th for a long-time-coming collaboration with The Collective BAE, our community’s inclusive gathering of conscious female creativity and feminine energy — by women, for ALL!

Many of the collective’s artists are dancers and facilitators of the Ecstatic Dance NYC web, but for this particular collaboration, we’ll experience the BAEs holding & guiding balanced space together for an embodied journey through our own Feminine ~ or YIN ~ nature and how it manifests through our dance as communication, connection, and genuine co-creation with ourselves, and with each other — no matter what gender we identify as!

To start, we'll have an opening warmup experience that fuses intuitive movement, contact improv, and embodied ancestral wisdoms, with space to set intentions for the evening. Then, we'll flow into the Ecstatic Dance. This time: featuring two distinct yet interwoven DJ sets (+ our first Woman on the drums!) for a true journey through genres, tempos, and cultural influences. We close with an immersive & collaborative sound bath of harmonic vibrations, meditative sub-bass frequencies, and ancient healing instruments to sync insights and connections into our beings.

The experience of both the dance floor and the Ambrosia Elixir Lounge will serve as an integrated & balanced space for practicing presence, catalyzing deep connection, and receiving vital nourishment, Before Anything Else.

This is going to be a very special evening.

Whether it's your first time coming, or you're a seasoned Ecstatic Dancer: ALL are welcome.

Come as you are.

Move as you wish.

* Ecstatic Dance NYC is beyond thrilled to partner up with Tree-Nation for this event. For every ticket sold, one tree will be planted.
